The only thing better than a hotel room with an exceptional view is a spa room with one. The 5,000 square-foot Spa at Curtain Bluff opened in June 2007 epitomizes the gentle marrying of Caribbean sensibility with an ultra-luxurious environment.  The new spa is located on the bluff, and sits overlooking the ocean and the nearby island of Montserrat. The Spa at Curtain Bluff includes five treatment rooms: four single and one especially for couples. Massage suites each have their own private balcony.

It also features open-air walkways, waterfalls, a relaxation room with a water view and a ten-person hot tub overlooking the ocean.

Guests at the Spa at Curtain Bluff feel completely pampered from the moment they walk in the Spa. They can relax on the outdoor veranda relaxation room overlooking the ocean while they enjoy the spa’s lemongrass tea, brewed from fresh lemongrass and mint grown from its own herb garden. The spa therapists recommend drinking lemongrass and ginger “shots” before treatments because of their cleansing properties and power to increase circulation. Following treatments, guests can relax in the outdoor Jacuzzi and refresh their palates with “Spa Bites,” a menu of light snacks developed by the resort’s spa director and Chef Christophe Blatz. The “Spa Bites” offerings change daily, and food items include mini fruit and vegetable kebabs, orange slices with cinnamon and dates, and steamed asparagus with crème fraiche and hazelnut dip.

The Spa at this family-friendly resort also offers treatments for children. Basic massages and facials can be tempered for those under 18 years of age. The set-up of the spa is ideal, so parents can observe the treatment while relaxing on the balcony enjoying the fresh sea breeze.
